Volunteer Opportunities

At Primavera School, we welcome parent participation at many levels. Parents are always welcomed into our classrooms whether planned or unplanned. Drop by for lunch or to observe your child actively engaged in the learning process!

Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten

In the preschool and pre-kindergarten classrooms, parents sign up to bring morning snack once a month for the entire class. Birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions such as “Grandparent’s Day” bring parents into the classroom. Often parents will be invited to share their experiences, special interests, family traditions, or their occupations with the children.

Kindergarten through 5th Grade

In our Kindergarten through 5th grade classrooms, parents are often involved, on a regular basis, leading reading groups, helping teachers with lesson plan preparation, and driving on field trips or to P.E. Parents volunteer for special occasions such as hiking, classroom parties, or the Community Garden. Parents, and sometimes entire families, actively participate in overnight camping trips and extended field trips such as the Colorado River Trip and the Catalina Experience.

At Primavera School our staff and parents work together to build trust and sensitivity among our students. Together we build the Primavera community of learners and foster life-long relationships for the benefit of our students.
